Vegetable yogurts, the new trend that you can buy at lidl

Anonim

From now on, when you go to the supermarket for yogurts, you will have one more option to choose from. Carrot, beetroot, pumpkin, parsnip … would you like a vegetable yogurt? We did not invent it ourselves, but Lidl, which launched the first vegetable yogurts on the market.

This new food trend is part of the rise of the veggie phenomenon (vegetarian), which is committed to including more and more vegetables and fruits in our diet and reducing the consumption of animal protein.

A priori, the vegetable yogurt may not be very appetizing, but think that they are made with sweet-flavored vegetables, it is not that you are going to eat broccoli yogurt. The Lidl varieties will be: carrot and strawberry; pumpkin, banana and apricot; and spinach and apple.

If you dare, you can also prepare a vegetable topping for your yogurt yourself, the key is not to add sugar. Here are several ideas:

  • Roasted pumpkin with cinnamon
  • Sweet potato with a little honey
  • Carrot cooked with turmeric
  • Grated cucumber with dill, a little salt and pepper
  • Beetroot cooked with Provencal herbs
  • Tomato and avocado minced with salt and pepper
