The hake in green sauce is one of those dishes of all life that can go from heavy to light depending on how you cook.

Our low calorie recipe, for example, has nothing more and nothing less than 307 less than the traditional one, so you get a 100% guilt-free version of hake in sauce that you can eat from time to time without fear of losing the line. even on a diet.

How do we get it? It's super simple: putting the right amounts, reducing the fat used for cooking to a minimum, and dispensing with the flour that is usually used to thicken the sauce and the potatoes as the accompaniment.

How to make easy and low calorie hake in green sauce step by step

  1. Prepare the clams. Let the clams soak in salt water for at least 30 minutes to flush out any sand they may have.
  2. Brown the hake. Wash the hake fillets, pat dry and season with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a saucepan that can also be used in the oven. Add the fish and brown it on both sides. Remove it and reserve it.
  3. Make the green sauce. In the same casserole in which you have browned the hake, brown the peeled and minced garlic cloves. Water with the broth and bring to a boil. Sprinkle with the washed and chopped parsley, and pass everything through the blender until it has the consistency of a sauce.
  4. Bake the hake. Add the hake back to the casserole and bake for 8 minutes at 180º. When there are 5 minutes to finish cooking, add the drained and rinsed clams. Finally, serve the hake and clams along with the hot sauce.
