Shrimp ties are one of those recipes that are never lacking in Clara's menus. The truth is that they are delicious. Both serve you as a single dish, tupperware dish or cold dish if you prepare them in advance. Thanks to the prawns, they also work as a party dish when you are looking for a recipe with a special or festive touch. And if to all this we add their triple fat burning power, who can resist them?

The trick is not to go overboard with the amount of pasta, 60 g per person is enough; and not miss a single one of its fat-burning ingredients: prawns, chili, and lime, three metabolism activators that help burn calories.

How to do it step by step

  1. Cook the pasta . Boil the bows in plenty of salty water and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once they are done, drain them and reserve.
  2. Wash and prepare the accompaniment . Wash the prawns. Also wash the basil, reserve some leaves to decorate and chop the rest. Clean the chili and cut it into thin slices. Wash the limes. And peel and mince the garlic.
  3. Skip it all . Quarter the limes and sauté them in 4 tablespoons of oil for a couple of minutes or so. Add the chili, garlic and basil and sauté the mixture, stirring for approximately 1 minute. Add the prawns and sauté for a couple of minutes.
  4. Assemble the platter . Remove the preparation from the heat. Extract the lime quarters and drain a little of their juice into the sauce; rectify with salt if necessary. Mix this preparation with the cooked pasta and serve the plate decorated with the basil leaves that you reserved in step 2.

If you want to enhance the lime

To intensify the aroma of the lime, sprinkle the paste with a little of its zest.

Triple fat burning power

Proteins, such as those in prawns, stimulate the metabolism and cause you to consume more calories during digestion. The key is to choose them low fat. Something that in the case of prawns is guaranteed since they contain almost no fat.

Many spices help speed up the metabolism and therefore burn calories. In the case of chili peppers, capsaicin, the substance responsible for the chili peppers, causes the body temperature to rise and, to achieve this, the metabolism has no choice but to burn reserve fat.

Finally, all citrus fruits help keep your metabolism high and burn calories. So the presence of lime in this recipe gives it an extra fat burning power.
