1 natural yogurt
1 glass (use the yogurt container) of flour
1 egg
½ sachet of baking powder
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of butter
For the smoked coverage:
100 g of smoked salmon
100 g of smoked cod
5 pickles
1 spring onion
3 sprigs of parsley
5 stalks of chives
1 creamy natural yogurt

There is a lot of urban legend in that the canapés are very heavy and difficult to prepare. Our proposal of smoked salmon and cod canapes on blinis (a kind of pancakes typical of Russian cuisine) is one of the most attractive and easy-to-make varied canapé recipes that exist.

And if, even so, it makes you a mountain to make the blinis, instead you can prepare the canapés with round toasts or sliced ​​bread rings. To cut them, you can do it with the help of a cookie cutter or, in the absence of it, with a small can of preserves that is already open and empty.

How to do it step by step

  1. Prepare the dough for the blinis. First, mix the flour with the yogurt, the egg, the yeast and the salt in a bowl. Then, beat with a few rods until you get a smooth dough.
  2. Cook the blinis. Butter a large nonstick skillet and spoon the batter (each the desired size for each blini) one centimeter apart. Leave for 1 minute and a half more or less, turn them over and keep on the fire for 1 more minute so that they are done on both sides.
  3. Assemble the canapés. Cut the smoked salmon and cod into chunks. Chop the onion, pickles, parsley, and chives. Next, whisk the yogurt and salt it lightly.
  4. Plate and serve. Arrange the blinis on a serving platter and spread over each one a piece of salmon or smoked cod, a teaspoon of minced meat, and a teaspoon of creamy yogurt. And reserve the canapés covered with plastic wrap until serving time.
