It is summer (well, it practically already is), it is time for terraces and, why are we going to deny it, during confinement we have seen all the series that have been and have been. Unorthodox , a miniseries about a Jewish woman from the ultra-Orthodox Satmar community in New York, was a revelation in times of coronavirus , but luckily for us, there are still many Spanish series to see and which we should give a more than deserved opportunity this summer .

If you like to give yourself authentic marathons (with or without ice cream as a witness), The Cable Girls , The Paper House and The Pier are waiting for you, but if you prefer to go little by little, we recommend La Unidad, by Movistar +, for lovers from the police series and  Valeria , for fans of chick lits . But there is still more …

To take a nap, for sleepless nights, for bored afternoons, … There is a series for every moment and, best of all, for all tastes. Spanish fiction is having a good time and to prove all the series that are succeeding in 2020.

'The invisible line'

'The invisible line'

Although Patria is about to premiere on HBO and is one of the most anticipated series of the year, this 2020 series with ETA as a theme have also been released that are worth seeing. The invisible line , by Movistar +, recreates the story that surrounded the first murder of ETA, starring Àlex Monner.

'Unit'

'Unit'

How do Spanish police officers work in the fight against terrorism? The unit , from Movistar +, tells all the ins and outs of the General Information Commissariat of the National Police, where the agents fight against jihadist terrorism.

'The cable girls'

'The cable girls'

If you haven't seen Cable Girls yet , now is a good time to have a good marathon. On July 3, after 5 seasons on Netflix, the most famous telephone operators will say goodbye forever with a series of five episodes. Starring Blanca Suárez , it was the first series that the streaming platform created in Spain.

'Merlí: sapere aude'

'Merlí: sapere aude'

Merlí marked a before and after in many Catalan teenagers –and not so teenagers– through the TV3 screen. Version 3.0 of Companions , and with philosophy as a common thread, was a success, so much so that Netflix wanted it among their own and you can see all the chapters on the platform. However, Merlí: sapere aude, the spin-off , which continues with Pol (Carlos Cuevas) as the protagonist, was created by Movistar +.

'Elite'

'Elite'

Elite came to Netflix like a hurricane. The series starring Ester Exposito, which by the way will not be in the fourth season, is set in an elitist school where everything happens … except good things! It works so well that its future is already assured until the fifth season.

'The ministry of time'

'The ministry of time'

The RTVE series is an old acquaintance. The series, which goes through history jumping in time, remains faithful to its actors from the beginning (Aura Garrido, Hugo Silva …) and making references to historical characters that are very interesting, from Fernando VII to Pedro Almodóvar. There is nothing.

'The jetty'

'The jetty'

Starring Verónica Sánchez and Álvaro Morte, the second and final season of El embarcadero arrived at Movistar + at the end of January. This romantic thriller set in the Albufera park is another of Álex Pina's works (creator of La casa de papel ).

'White Lines'

'White Lines'

Set in the most partying Ibiza, the series by Spanish creator Álex Pina ( La casa de papel ) invites you to immerse yourself in the gap in the wake of a disappearance that took place 20 years ago. You can see it on Netflix and, although it aspires to become number one of the most viewed on the platform, for now, it has tiptoed past, but it is worth watching.

'Valeria'

'Valeria'

Practically fresh from the oven, Valeria has already secured her second season on Netflix. Based on the books in the Valeria saga by Elísabet Benavent, one of the best chick lit writers in our country, it recounts the adventures of a writer in search of inspiration and her friends.

'The paper house'

'The paper house'

Starring Úrsula Corberó, Itziar Ituño and Álvaro Morte, La casa de papel was born as a series on Antena 3, later it flew to Netflix and world madness was unleashed. They have been fighting for four seasons and it seems that there are still many robberies ahead.
