You do too much in your day to day for you to spend your little free time cleaning the house. Follow our tips and tricks, and dedicate your time to what you like the most!

Home cleaning step by step

  1. Clean from top to bottom ; if not, when going over the upper areas, you will dirty the lower ones.
  2. Always sweep or vacuum before dusting, as sweeping can lift dirt and end up again on the furniture.
  3. On textiles (carpets, upholstery, curtains …) remove stains when they occur, before they dry.
  4. If when you pick up the hanging clothes you keep them wrinkled, it will cost you more work to iron them. It is worth taking 5 minutes to store it stretched and folded.
  5. In the rooms, set a day to change the sheets (not all the beds at once) and throw them directly to wash so that the laundry does not accumulate. Turn the mattress over every 15 days and let it air out for a couple of hours so you don't have to vacuum it every week.
  6. In the living room, put covers on the sofa that you can easily remove and shake and that are washable. It will cost you much less to get it perfect.
  7. Plan. There are tasks that can be done every 15 days, such as cleaning the inside cabinets, doors and windows, shaking the walls, thoroughly checking the lamps … Establish a monthly calendar so that they do not coincide.
  8. One piece of advice, better collect and vacuum on Mondays, you know that during the weekend the children are more at home, or you can receive visitors.
  9. One trick to avoid having to brush up when you sweep is to wrap the brush in a nylon stocking , you will collect all the lint and dust in a single sweep. And it is that nylon generates static electricity that will attract each small particle.
  10. If instead of beating yourself up cleaning all the windows at the same time you clean a window every day, you will hardly notice it and on Saturday you will have it done.
  11. The washing-machine. Distribute the washes during the week, do not accumulate them all for the weekend. You can put the washing machine at night, and hang it out in the morning so that when you get home the clothes are dry.
  12. The iron. Take advantage, for example, when you see your favorite series to distribute the ironing in 2-3 batches. Do not go for 2 or 3 pieces, because what consumes the most energy is heating the iron. So it's worth ironing for longer batches.
  13. The furniture. If you clean a piece every day (the table, the shelf …), you will only spend 5 minutes a day to remove the dust and on the weekend they will only need a quick review.

Tips for cleaning the kitchen thoroughly

  1. Better to sweep after dinner, so that neither crumbs nor lint will accumulate on the floor.
  2. Three times a week put a glass of water and lemon in the microwave. Start it up and let steam build up. Then you just have to go over with the cloth and dry.
  3. Protect cabinets, shelves and drawers with kitchen paper or plastic. When they are dirty, you change them and that's it.
  4. Cover the floor in front of the fire area with a mat and avoid leaving grease marks all over the kitchen.
  5. Always clean the hood first and then the hob.
  6. Go through the fridge before you go shopping. Obviously, when it is full it takes longer to clean it than if it is almost empty.
  7. Cleaning the oven can be easier, go over it with the damp cloth after use, when the fat is still hot. If you let it cool and dry, you will have to scratch and rub afterwards.
