The Chanel Fall / Winter 2019-2020 collection show will be remembered for many reasons. The most obvious is because it has been a tribute to Karl Lagerfeld who passed away just a few weeks ago. This was his last collection at the head of the firm and the entire show has been tinged with a halo of nostalgia for his departure. But there is another reason and it is that Penelope Cruz, our Penelope, has been in charge of closing the show as one more model.

As one more model, no, because she has been the protagonist of the parade. Penelope has come out to close the show, at first a little shy but she has not taken long to gain confidence escorted by several models.

The Chanel show was set in a ski resort, there were mountains in the background, wooden cabins and yes, snow. The atmosphere could not be more welcoming and, if for the last Spring collection, Karl Lagerfeld brought a beach to the Grand Palais, what he had prepared for the winter one has not been left behind.

Penelope has worn a very chic design consisting of a ruffled T-shirt and a feather miniskirt that fit her wonderfully. On the feet, après ski platform ankle boots and the hair adorned with a feather headdress. All in pristine white.

Not long ago Penelope Cruz has become an ambassador for Chanel but since then she has given us a good number of outfits signed by the Kaiser that have been raising her as one of the best dressed of the event to which she went.

We have loved the beauty look that Penelope has worn in the parade because it seems to us the most rejuvenating we have seen in a long time. The slightly undone semi-updo combines with that fake tan makeup that always stays skiing on the cheeks and nose and gives it an air of the most innocent.
