Sara Carbonero returns to Mediaset: the journalist will have a weekly interview section in 'Deportes Cuatro', after three and a half years of leave from work. The first program will air this Monday, February 18 and we already know who will be the guest. Sara will interview Javier Fernández , two-time World Champion, seven-time European champion in a row and bronze medalist at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics in figure skating.
We also know that in each installment the journalist will show the athlete's environment, their training places and will reveal their most personal side.
" I am very happy to join the Deportes Cuatro team again and recover a section that I was lucky enough to do in 2011. We are going to look for emotional stories and personal improvement as well as current interviews with elite athletes" Carbonero explained. Of course, Sara does not return as a presenter, but as a collaborator of the program so that she can reconcile work and personal life, along with Iker Casillas and his two children in Portugal. Thus the journalist will not have to move to live in Madrid and will be able to continue her life in Porto.
Sara has been linked to Mediaset since 2009, where she presented 'Sports' on Telecinco. In 2015, she requested leave from work to accompany her husband to Porto , after the signing of the goalkeeper by Fútbol Club Oporto. Two years later, he returned to television to host the fashion show 'I want to be' on Divinity. But after the first season, she has focused on her own clothing brand and her advertising commitments.
According to Mediaset, Carbonero will also be one of the first guests on Carmen Chaparro's program, 'Cuatro al día', which will premiere the same day.
