It is a mistake to go to without having previously thought of a weekly menu or monthly menu for your meals. Once you have your menu planned is when you can prepare your shopping list, also adding everything that is not food: perfumery, drugstore, etc.
Planning what we eat will help us eat better, in a varied and balanced way, and save time and money.
Below is a printable shopping list template to help you organize yourself better.
5 keys to go to
- Buy without hunger. Go to the supermarket on a full stomach or 3 hours after your last meal, so you get what you really need.
- Don't go overboard. Try not to get carried away by the frenzy and stuff your fridge with green because if you don't eat it you will be discouraged and the next purchase will not be healthy at all. If you live as a family, make sure others want to eat like you.
- Don't go to one site alone. We tend to concentrate the purchase on one site, which is usually not profitable. For example, buying meat and fish in specific stores can save you up to 40%. Get into the habit of going one day a week to the market in your neighborhood.
- Freezing is a good option. You can freeze meat, fish and vegetables in individual or family servings. If you do it already cut you will save time when you prepare your dishes.
- Don't throw food away. Save one day a week to dispose of leftovers and products that are about to go bad. Rice, omelette, salad or quiche are preparations that allow you to take advantage of almost everything.
