'Charlie's Angels': a series and three films
After the television series where we met the original angels in the 1970s (with Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Charyl Ladd), we had two films that quickly became a worldwide success. We remember, above all, the reboot starring Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu from the year 2000. What a success! Three years later, we saw its second part, Charlie's Angels: To the Limit , with the same cast. And this year, another remake of the film, directed by Elizabeth Banks , opens in theaters .
And, friend, today we woke up with a surprise: we already have the first photo of all its cast (director included) thanks to Banks herself. Likewise, we know that in this version of the film we will see Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska. The director just shared a photo with the new Charlie's Angels, accompanied by the hashtag # 4PercentChallenge , the initiative to promote projects led by women in the film industry.
A few months ago, Stewart revealed a few details about the film in an interview with Variety. It is assumed that the story will not have only three protagonists, but a series of allies with the same objective. "There is a whole network of Angels, they are not just three, they are women all over the world who are connected and help each other," he said, adding: "There is a kitsch nature in the last versions that was super fun, but nowadays , if you see a woman fighting, it should be something absolutely real and well done within her capabilities. "
