What are cruelty free cosmetics?
What are cruelty free cosmetics?
If a product indicates that it is cruelty free, it means that it is free from animal abuse and that it has not been tested on animals. According to the organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment Of Animals), more than 100 million animals are "used" to test and create beauty products. In many cases, even causing death. We have selected beauty brands that we love and that offer cruelty free cosmetics. Do not miss it!

Learn to do your makeup well and quickly
Learn to put on makeup well and fast
Now that you know everything about cruelty free products, learn how to put on good makeup in less than 15 minutes. Yes, with our tricks it is possible.
The cruelty free concept is based on the principle that no animals should be tortured throughout the manufacturing process of a product, nor should they be "used" to test cosmetics. Fortunately, many beauty brands decide not to test on animals and join the cruelty free movement, that is, "free from animal suffering."
Cruelty free cosmetics
In case you didn't know, directive 2003/15 / CE of the European Parliament and of the Council (which came into force in two phases, the first between 2004 and 2009, and the second in 2013), completely prohibits the sale and manufacture of products cosmetics on European soil that have been previously tested on laboratory animals. Of course, the rule has several exceptions. For example, European companies that export their cosmetics to markets where testing on animals is mandatory (such as China) can test on animals. That is, if a beauty brand wants to sell its products in China, it has to test them on animals first.
Of course, there are brands that do not agree, for example Wet N Wild, which produces its cosmetics in China, but does not market them, so it can remain cruelty free.
If you want to bet on products that have not been tested on animals, you can choose from many cruelty free brands. Hourglass, 3INA, Teeez, Essence, Nyx … these are just some of the options you have! You will have no problem finding products that have not been tested on animals.
