This fact that Disney has been determined to remake its animated films in real action does not convince everyone, especially those of us who grew up glued to TV playing our VHS tapes over and over again on Saturdays at 7 a.m. the morning. So every time we see those first images of the remakes we hold our breath hoping that the result does not disappoint us. With Beauty and the Beast they succeeded, but what happened to another of their classics from the 90s? We saw the first images of the film a few weeks ago on the cover of Entertainment Weekley and the disappointment, for some, was huge.
And it is that many expected that the genie of the lamp was blue and clear, seeing the cover … alarms went off!
Now the second trailer with more images has just been published and, to the joy of many, Will Smith is blue. This trailer does not quite make Aladdin fans happy either, although there is still hope for them … Who knows, maybe it turns out to be a movie later!
Criticism of the new version of 'Aladdin'
Other criticism that the film is facing has been the quality of the overall appearance of the production that some consider a bit seedy. In general, the faces of the majority have been of authentic awe. We know that the director of the film, Guy Ritchie (who has directed the last Sherlock Holmes films and masterpieces like Snatch: Pigs and Diamonds ) is a genius (festival of humor) and that he does 'weird' things that later become very cool, but thus at first glance, we do not understand very well the aesthetics of this new Aladdin. Doesn't it all seem very unrealistic? "Two words: I'm scared," @ Pvey10 said on Twitter.
As always when movies are made about racial minorities in America, Aladdin also sparked some controversy over the choice of its main cast . Then only Will Smith was saved, whom no one dared to question. At the moment, the only thing that seems to have improved over the original 1992 film is the appearance of Jafar. Marwan Kenzari is already taking the limelight away from Aladdin and the Genie.
