Thanks to the Confédération Pyrénéenne du Tourisme and the Font Romeu-Pyrénées 2000 and Les Angles Tourist Offices, we have been able to get to know their ski resorts first-hand, as well as all the activities that can be done to get disconnected for a weekend or plus. In addition to skiing, of course, in Font-Romeu and Les Angles you can enjoy a multitude of sports, gastronomic, relaxation plans … You just have to decide what you want to do in the Pyrenees and you will have it. Do you want to really disconnect, surrounded by nature, open air and happiness in capital letters? So keep reading.

The Les Angles ski area occupies about 55 km of slopes and is at an altitude of 2,400 meters. It is one of the largest areas in the Eastern Pyrenees and has 45 slopes (14 green, 9 blue, 14 red, 8 black and a snowpark area) where you can unleash your passion for skiing. All this while you enjoy the vegetation, trees and large virgin areas.
For its part, in Font Romeu-Pyrénées 2000 you have 43 km of slopes, divided into 15 green, 10 blue, 7 red, 9 black, a snow park and 2 toboggan runs + Baby toboggan. Also, if you want to learn to ski or want to improve your technique, there is also a ski school with expert teachers.

In addition to the restaurants on the slopes, at Les Angles station you will find a room located at more than 2000 m high with a permanent grill, tables and a terrace with impressive views. You can bring your own food and they cook it for you at the moment: calçots, meat … whatever you want!

If what you like is doing "relaxation tourism", you will love the Angléo spa. If there is something that we like more than a relaxing getaway, it is a getaway that also includes good gastronomy. Both in Les Angles and in Font-Romeu you can taste wonderful fondues, raclettes, cold cuts, game meats … During our stay we were at the Poule au Pot and La Grange restaurants, super recommended!

The Musée sans murs is also worth a visit. A museum without walls in an incredible outdoor corner. It was created in 2008 and has become the tallest art gallery in Europe. It is built at the same distance from Santiago de Compostela and from Rome, at the foot of the Hermitage de Font-Romeu.
You should not miss the Balcère lake either , at an altitude of 1,770m, surrounded by a pine forest. There is a picnic area, a bar and you can even go climbing. At 1,600 meters of altitude is the Matemale Lake and is ideal for walks on foot, on horseback or by bicycle (you can also have a picnic).
As you can see, there are many more activities that you can do outdoors besides skiing. And you can do all of them with friends, as a family, as a couple, with yourself … You choose!

In Les Angles and Fort-Romeu you will find plenty of accommodation to choose from. Hotels, rural houses, apartments … The hotel structure is very wide and adapts perfectly to what you need. Accommodation at the foot of the slopes, in the center of town, especially for families, couples … We stayed in the apartments of the residence Odalys Mille Soleils.
