12 prawns

How to do it step by step

1. Make the puff pastry base. The first thing you have to do is flour the work surface and spread the puff pastry sheets. Next, paint them with egg, sprinkle with a little salt and cut rectangles or stars with the help of a pasta cutter. Then, place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake in the oven, preheated to 200º, for 15-20 minutes more or less, until golden brown.

2. Prepare the coverage. First of all, wash the lettuce leaves and tomatoes. Dry them well and cut the tomatoes into very thin slices. Then cook the prawns in boiling water with salt and pepper for about 1 minute. Once cooked, drain them, cool them with cold water, peel them and reserve. Peel the avocado and cut it into very thin slices as well.

3. Assemble the canapés. Cut the puff pastry in half, spread them with the cheese and arrange on top of each one a tomato slice, one or two avocado slices, a lettuce leaf and one or two prawns. Complete the canapé by putting the other half of the puff pastry on top, along with some salmon roe and flake salt.
