An alternative to the typical potato salad with tomato and tuna is this potato salad with spinach and ham.
On the one hand, it is delicious because spinach goes so well with cheese and raisins. And on the other hand, it is a very balanced and nutritious dish , which works perfectly as a single dish thanks to the combination of potatoes, spinach, ham and cheese.
Precisely for this reason, it is never lacking in our tupperware menus when we take food to work or have to spend the day away from home for one reason or another and we do not want to throw away the bar menu. Do you want to try it?
How to do it step by step
- Cook the potatoes. First, peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into cubes of a more or less regular size. Then, cook them in plenty of salty water for about 20 minutes. And finally, drain them and cool them with cold water.
- Prepare the accompaniment. On the one hand, hydrate the raisins in warm water for about 10 minutes, and after that time, drain them. On the other hand, wash the spinach leaves, removing the stems, and dry them. And cut the cooked ham into cubes.
- Make the salad. First of all, mix the spinach leaves with the potato cubes, add the raisins and the ham. Then, season with salt and pepper and season to taste with oil and vinegar. And finally, add the cheese cut into thin slices and serve.

Ideas to enrich the salad
One way to enrich the salad is to add some peeled and chopped walnuts, or some apple cubes.
And if you want a vegetarian version, you just have to do without the ham.
