A picture is worth a thousand words, that's why the cover photo is Lucía Bárcena with a yellow bikini from Capittana. There are already several seasons in which the color of bad luck - that's what they call it - defies fortune and sneaks into the wardrobe of those who dress best. Especially in summer, it brings a cool touch to any look and best of all, it highlights the tan. This summer we are more yellow than ever and we cannot be happier.

Both our national influencers such as María Valdés or Belén Hostalet,  as well as the Nordic ones –Emili Sindlev or Jeanette Madsen–, have opted for yellow in their latest summer looks . Each one in their style, they have shown that yellow has personality and adapts to any situation. No matter the fabric, the print, the hue … Yellow has become a winning color in the summer wardrobe.

We have selected some of our favorite looks and we have added accessories and garments so you can replicate or be inspired by your next looks. We have analyzed each of the styles and we give you the keys to how to combine the color yellow. If you are starting to tan or you are packing your suitcase, take note, yellow will be your best companion this summer!

Yellow in summer highlights the tan, that's why Jeannete Madsen, on her holidays in Formentera, opted for a design like this one from Realization Par. One of the patterns that works best with yellow is that of flowers. It is subtle and it is sophisticated and we like the result. When we bet on a garment like this, it is better to do like Jeanette and add few accessories.

How to wear a total yellow look? María Valdés has the solution. Go for striped trousers, in this case in a very subtle yellow with a washed effect, and combine it with a sweatshirt of the same color.

Emili Sindlev and the color mix

On more than one occasion we have said that Danish Emili Sindlev is a master of color. In this case, it combines two trends in one: the yellow color and the tie dye effect. In her profile she has other looks in yellow that we also liked, but this one, because it is original, is worth analyzing: a yellow Maison Valentino T-shirt, printed shorts and a hat. It is difficult to combine so many prints but if done with grace and mastery, the result is that of Emili: perfect. If we dare like her, it is better to choose many bright colors such as fuchsia pink or electric blue.

Belén Hostalet with Jacquemus yellow dress

Falling in love with this look from Belén Hostalet is not complicated. A feminine style whose main protagonist is a yellow Jacquemus dress. We are inspired by its accessories, in this case, violet sandals from Alohas. We like adding more color to yellow , especially if we opt for pastel tones such as purple, light blue or pink. Total success!

Yellow poplin

Yellow poplin

This poplin dress, with puffed sleeves and a long cut, is only suitable for the most daring. You can add some basic sandals in black like the Jeanette Madsen look or play with the color and add another tone like Belén Hostalet has done. It is perfect to wear any summer night and highlight the tanned neckline.

The eye-catching accessory

A yellow bag or an accessory of this color always brings a cool air to any style. A look in neutral colors to which you add yellow becomes a great look. This bag is great to carry day or night and because of its sack shape, it is practical and fun in equal measure. We always say yes to a yellow bag!

Yellow square-cut sweatshirt

For those summer nights when it gets cold, or to wear it directly in autumn, a yellow sweatshirt is ideal. In addition to enhancing your tan, this model with French sleeves, dropped shoulders and a wide cut will become the most comfortable garment in your mid-season wardrobe.

Sexy yellow

Sexy yellow

A sexy yellow dress is a good option for summer night looks. In this case we see this dress with wedge espadrilles. We like the front buttoning, which is mini but not ultra tight, come on, maybe this is the perfect summer dress?

Yellow at your feet

Among the accessories that we can wear yellow are the sandals. There is no store where you cannot find one of this color. Not only does it make your feet stand out, it also brings out the tan. They are ideal to wear with a 'little black dress' or with a little white dress. They will look just as good with simple jeans and a masculine shirt.

Oversized neck blouse

A yellow shirt is a good save for the summer suitcase. Add a colorful air to simple jeans, white pants or a black skirt. In this case, the romantic shape and shade of yellow go with everything. Wear it with long earrings in a contrasting color.

Boat neckline

We can also take yellow to the beach and this Primark bateau neckline dress is the best example. Over our favorite bandeau bikini or with a white bateau neckline swimsuit, yellow adds a sophisticated air to our beach look. Mustard is easier to combine, so if you dare with this range of colors, we recommend that you start with it.
