# 21DaysClara Challenge
As you can imagine, the thing was not as simple as having 5 pants and 5 shirts. Hopefully! To make the challenge a real challenge, Raquel Pérez, our fashion expert, came to my house to inspect my closet and choose the 10 pieces of clothing (not counting accessories) that would be part of my outfits over 21 days. In the following photos you will see some of my looks, and in the text at the end I will tell you if I have fulfilled my # challenge21díasClara.
Basics: denim skirt + t-shirt
Basics: denim skirt + t-shirt
With or without stockings, a denim skirt is a good investment. If you combine it with a shirt with a message and sneakers, you already have a complete look.
Oversize shirt
Oversize shirt
A black shirt with a simple pattern is another of the basics that you should have in your closet, it has gotten me out of more than one hurry.
When the cold comes
When the cold comes
To give the shirt another style, I tied it at the waist and buttoned it all the way up. When it starts to cool off, it looks great with the cardigan over it and a short collar around the neck.
All red
All red
Another way to wear this shirt is with blue jeans and tucked inside. Ankle boots and the most garish bag you have in your closet.
A classic
A classic
And if this summer we have seen T-shirts with messages combined with jeans, in autumn too! A cute belt, your favorite sneakers and to the street.
Is it cold already?
Is it cold already?
Well, nothing, you put the black leather jacket on top.
A little bit of rock
A little bit of rock
If you don't just see yourself with message shirts, try rock bands. This Guns n 'Roses is the bomb and it goes well with everything.
A touch of color
A touch of color
And to avoid looking so dark, you can always wear it with a red cardigan, to match the flowers on the shirt.
The far west
The far west
A logo t-shirt and a denim skirt are always a hit. If you look very "bland" tie a handkerchief of the same color as the shirt, put on some sneakers of the same tone and a striking bag. Win 100% guaranteed!
This boots are made for walking

A very similar look works just as well with jeans and a western-inspired ankle boot.
The shirt dress
The shirt dress
If there is a fashionable garment this season that is undoubtedly the shirt dress. In addition to wearing it as a dress, you can also wear it open as a kimono or with some buttons undone, revealing the jeans underneath slightly.
Buttoned cardigan

And to give your more classic cardigan another look, button everything up and reveal the shirt underneath.
A closet. 10 garments. 21 days.
I'm Laura, editor of the clara.es website, and the goal of my # reto21díasClara was to wear only 10 items from my wardrobe during these 3 weeks. And no, as you can imagine, it was not as simple as having 5 pants and 5 shirts. Hopefully! To make the challenge a real challenge, Raquel Pérez, our fashion expert, came to my house to inspect my wardrobe and choose the 10 pieces of clothing (not counting accessories) that would be part of my outfits throughout 21 days.
What did Raquel choose for my "tiny" wardrobe?
How easy it would have been to play with 5 jeans and 5 basic t-shirts, but … how boring, right? So to make the challenge more interesting, Raquel chose the following items from my wardrobe:
- Classic blue jean.
- Black jean with rips.
- Denim skirt with buttons.
- Oversized black shirt with white polka dots.
- Gray t-shirt with message.
- Printed black t-shirt.
- White t-shirt with logo.
- Long checked shirt dress.
- Red cardigan.
- Black leather jacket.
How was # reto21díasClara?
At the risk of sounding pedantic, I have to say that for me clothing is a form of expression and with it I define my personality. For this reason, having to wear only 10 garments for 21 days has cost me, since - saving the distances - it has been as if my freedom was "curtailed". That of not having to think about the classic "what should I wear tomorrow, because I have nothing in the closet?" It is a bargain, but in my case I prefer to give a little coconut every morning and choose clothes according to how I feel that day, what I want to wear and how I want to wear it.
As if this challenge were not enough, I could not have any clothes or accessories for 3 weeks.
What have I learned after my challenge?
Luckily, not everything has been "headaches" during the challenge, and I think that I have learned some things after these 3 weeks.
- You don't need two closets, three donkeys and 300 pairs of shoes to be well dressed, beautiful and trendy.
- I have discovered different ways of wearing a dress or shirt, beyond the "classic" way. Sometimes we are left only with the usual use of the garment, either for comfort or laziness. But we can combine it in different ways and get an infinity of looks.
- Accessories - as the name suggests - help make the same look appear different. A belt placed at the waist, a necklace or a scarf are the perfect allies for day to day.
- No, you don't need rags (however cheap they are) every week. Every time he wanted something he would write it down on a list and let that "momentum" rest a little. Hours later, in most cases, I saw that I didn't really need it. What I have kept in my wishlist I will ask Santa Claus and ready!
The result…
I take Dior (or Amancio) as a witness that I have tried … But, feeling very sorry, I have not succeeded … Yes, call me a coward for not putting up with 21 days, but for me it has been even more difficult than when - a year ago– I started the Clara Challenge. It's not that it's the most modern in the neighborhood, or that my style is going to be copied at Central Saint Martins, but I like it, I know what suits me and I try to always be comfortable.
Why have I not succeeded? Basically for 4 reasons (2 main and 2 secondary):
- As I mentioned a moment ago, clothing is my way of expression, so having only 10 items, I felt limited and overwhelmed.
- I live alone and it is not feasible to have clean clothes using only 10 items. This challenge "forced" me to wash some T-shirts by hand because, of course, waiting to have the washing machine full to put it in could take days.
- I started this challenge when it was (very) hot and well, but with the arrival of autumn, it has been more difficult to coordinate the clothes with the temperature and with the fact that my usual vehicle is the motorcycle (and it is colder than if you walk , Clear).
- Also, last week we had the super 25th Anniversary of Clara Magazine, so I had to put the challenge on standby.
In the gallery I have put some of the looks that I have worn during these 21 days. I hope you like and inspire you!
