Red fans against sexist violence at the 2019 goya awards

These types of galas are usually peppered with moments of vindication and the 2019 Goya Awards gala have not been for less. On the red carpet of the Goya Awards 2019 we have seen several red fans with the message NI UNA MENOS, with which the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA) has wanted to denounce " the reality of women killed by sexist violence " .

" Faced with the distressing reality of women killed by sexist violence and against the campaign of irresponsible and reckless lies that have not stopped spreading in recent times, CIMA joins in the denunciation of this alarming situation and the demand for an immediate solution " .

Several of the guests at the 33rd edition of the gala have posed with the fan on the red carpet, such as Ruth Gabriel, Adelfa Calvo, Julián López, Manolo Solo, Isabel Coixet, Rodrigo Sorogoyen or the composer Alberto Iglesias. Although we would have liked to see a little more vindication on the red carpet, we are sure that the gala will have more than a moment to remember.

We love these types of initiatives because they make us reflect on such important issues as, in this case, sexist violence.

We are also left with the statements of Cristina Castaño that, without a doubt, have made us think a little more: “ Machismo is a cultural issue. Our mothers and friends are macho and that is why it is necessary for feminism to vindicate itself in these events ”.
