How to make carrot cake step by step

  • Top the carrots and scrape them; wash them, pat them dry with kitchen paper and grate them.
  • Crack the eggs, separating the whites from the yolks.
  • Assemble the first ones with half the sugar, using electric rods, until they are about a firm snow.
  • Place the yolks in a large bowl and add the remaining sugar.
  • Beat them, better with rods, until they are whitish. Add the spices and mix.
  • Pour the oil into a thread and continue beating until it is integrated.
  • Add 250 g of sifted flour together with the yeast, little by little and stirring.
  • Add 250 g of the grated carrot and mix.
  • It incorporates the whipped egg whites, with enveloping movements.
  • Preheat the oven to 180º. Grease a mold about 20 cm in diameter with the nut butter and sprinkle it with the remaining flour.
  • Pour the dough into the mold and bake for about 35 minutes.
  • Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool and unmold it.
  • To prepare the cream, beat the previously softened butter with the icing sugar until it is whitish.
  • Add the cheese and beat for a couple of minutes, on medium speed.
  • Decorate the surface of the cake with the cream and the chopped dark chocolate.
