And it is that it has 310 calories less per serving than in the traditional recipe without losing a hint of flavor, therefore, it is a 100% guilt-free recipe and suitable for all audiences …

Substituting some ingredients for others, we get it to have 310 fewer calories per serving

The secret? Replace the heavy cream with skimmed milk; Parmesan for grated low-fat cheese; and bacon for cooked ham or turkey which are much leaner than the traditional bacon and therefore much lighter!

And, as if that weren't enough, we also have a vegetarian version of our carbonara light pasta. If you want to go from the meat, you can substitute it for some sauteed mushrooms, which, in addition to being very light, are super satiating.

How to do it step by step

  1. Prepare the sauce. On one side, beat the eggs. Add a splash of skim milk, the low-fat cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. And reserve.
  2. Make the accompaniment. On the other hand, in a pan with a tablespoon of oil, sauté the peeled and sliced garlic and the peeled and chopped onion until golden brown. And then add the ham or turkey into small cubes and skip it all for a few more minutes.
  3. Cook pasta. Meanwhile, bring water to a boil and, when there is no time to cook the noodles as directed by the producer, add them to the water.
  4. The final touch. Once the noodles are cooked, drain them and add them to the pan where you have sautéed the garlic, onion and ham. Sauté a few more moments and incorporate the sauce, mixing all the ingredients and their flavors for about 3 more minutes. And ready to like!

Clara trick

So that the pasta is ready

It is the sauce that awaits the pasta and not the other way around. Therefore, try to start with the sauce and the accompaniment while the water is boiling and, when there are only the minutes that the pasta requires for cooking, bring it to a boil. This way you will have the sauce and the pasta at the same time, and it will never go away.
