Egg and bacon stuffed buns

Table of contents:

Anonim

Ingredients:
4 baguettes or long rolls
100 g grated Emmental cheese
75 g of bacon, cut into thick slices
3 eggs
150 ml of liquid cream
1 sprig of parsley
Pepper
Salt

With a little imagination and with almost no effort or time, you can prepare award-winning sandwiches like the filled rolls in our recipe. Which are simply irresistible! And it is that although sandwiches are the quintessential symbol of express cooking, we do not have to settle for a simple ham sandwich. Of course not.

How to do it step by step

  1. The preambles. While you preheat the oven to 180º, cut the top of the buns or baguettes –you can reserve it for other recipes–, and remove all the crumb. Next, remove the skin and calves from the bacon, and cut it into small cubes. And finally, wash and chop the parsley.
  2. Make the filling. First, crack the eggs in a bowl and beat them lightly. Then, salt and pepper, add the cream and the chopped parsley, and stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
  3. Bake the muffins. Put a sheet of parchment paper on the baking sheet and place the muffins on top. With the help of a spoon, fill them with the mixture that you have previously prepared. Then sprinkle the top with the grated cheese, spread the bacon cubes on top, and bake the filled buns for 10 minutes or so, until the egg is set and the bacon is golden brown.

Other filling options

If the filling does not convince you, just change the bacon for smoked salmon, prawns, chorizo, mushrooms … Or if you want a less caloric or vegetarian option, you can also substitute the egg and cream filling for a vegetable puree and setites, for example.

TrickClara

FASTER YET …

One trick to wait even less is to have the stuffed buns already cooked in the fridge and only heat them for about two or three minutes in the oven or on the microwave grill.
