Who else and who less has already started to think about the Easter holidays, summer, on a long long weekend … It does not matter if you have decided to travel far or if you prefer to stay close, the important thing is to disconnect and rest.

We have proposed to make it easy for you, so if you are going to take the car soon, take note of the tips that you will find below and that will help you make the most of your trunk.

If this year you don't want to have nightmares wondering whether or not to close the trunk, keep reading …

  1. We don't want to be glasses, but… Before filling the trunk, take out the tool kit and emergency items such as triangles or vests and leave them handy. Nothing has to happen, but imagine you need some of this and you have it in the bottom of the trunk… total drama! Better keep them inside the car, in one of the side doors, to have them handy.
  2. Survival kit for children. To make your trip (and yours) more enjoyable, prepare a bag with everything you need for when you decide to stop and leave it in the trunk. Include snacks, drinks (especially water), cleaning supplies like wipes or tissues and toys to keep them entertained.
  3. Be careful with the weight. Many times we believe that the weight of the car is infinite and it is not. To find out the maximum weight that the vehicle supports, you have to subtract the weight of the car (tare) from the MMA value (maximum authorized mass). They can fine you if you exceed the maximum weight and, in addition, it influences the behavior of the vehicle.
  4. An overview of luggage. If you separate all the packages by size you will get an idea of all the elements and you will easily see the order in which you have to store them in the trunk.
  5. The expendable stays at home. Before putting things away, go over everything and discard what you don't need. Sure you have many "porsiacas" that you can leave. At the very least, try to regroup them to have as few bundles as possible.
  6. Big and heavy firsts. Place the largest and heaviest luggage in the back of the trunk and, if possible, in the center.
  7. The lightest packages, the last. Even if you put them last, it doesn't mean they are less important. Distribute the light and smaller packages between the spaces of the rest of the luggage. Never leave them on the rear tray because they can obstruct your vision and, even worse, in case of braking, they can fly off.
  8. Invest in a roof rack. For everything that does not fit in the trunk - or those objects of dangerous forms -, it is better that you opt for a luggage rack. It holds more than a roof rack and its design is more aerodynamic.
  9. Fasten the belts. Especially if you have reclined the car seats, be sure to fasten your seatbelts. In this way, in the event of a collision or braking, you will prevent the luggage compartment from moving into the vehicle.
  10. Inside the car, just enough. Avoid loose packages inside the vehicle. If it is an essential bag, leave it at your feet to prevent it from being thrown and keep it under control at all times.

In addition, if you allow us, we have also selected the basic garments and accessories that you need for your vacation and that will prevent you from filling your suitcase with unnecessary porsiacas . You have the perfect suitcase to go to the beach; for your holidays in the mountains or for your more urban getaways to the city. Ready?
