One of the most common problems when applying makeup is cosmetic stains on clothing and other pieces of household linen. With these simple tricks you can eliminate the most difficult makeup stains and take care of your clothes and that of your house, while saving good money.
Remove carmine stains
Carmine marks are one of the most common makeup stains. If any garment has been impregnated with it, follow this simple trick. Whether on napkins, handkerchiefs or other garments, cover the mark with a little liquid detergent. Let it sit for a while, then wash the piece of clothing as you normally do. If the stain persists, you can rub it with a cloth dipped in alcohol or glycerin.
Eliminate traces of makeup
If the stains are from compact powder, blush or eyeshadow, you can first combat them with the help of a dryer. With cool air at medium speed, focus the dryer sideways on the stain and away from the garment. This will remove most of the particles without touching your clothes. To remove the remains that have not disappeared with the dryer, put a makeup remover wipe on the stain, press gently to absorb the particles and change it as it gets dirty. But above all, do not rub it, because the stain will spread more. Then wash the garment.
Remove nail polish stains
Nail polish is one of clothes' worst enemies. If it has stained any of your clothes, first soften it by applying hot air with the help of a hair dryer. Place a paper towel on the stain and apply acetone with a cotton ball to the back of the fabric (first, check in an inconspicuous place that it does not damage the fabric). Draw small circles from the outside to the center to prevent it from spreading and change the wipe until the enamel is definitely removed. Finally, wash the garment with mild soap.
