In recent months there have been many people who have stepped up. Some have helped their neighbors by shopping for them, others have distributed food from soup kitchens, others have volunteered in hospitals, others have lent their taxis to transport sick and medical personnel for free … there are many and all are heroes .

Thanks to their work and their altruistic actions, they have made this difficult time a little less so. For this reason, C&A now wants to pay tribute to them and has launched a collection of solidarity t-shirts that goes on sale throughout Europe on July 9.

C&A solidarity t-shirts to help the heroes of the pandemic

We all have someone affected by Covid close by. Whether they are relatives or acquaintances, we all know someone infected who has had a really bad time, but we also know people who are suffering the consequences of the economic crisis that all this has generated. In one way or another it has affected us. But surely we also know someone who has lent their help and effort to make these months a little less tough.

These are the heroes that C&A wanted to honor with its new collection of t-shirts . The German firm will donate € 5 from the sale of these designs to those people and organizations that have selflessly helped society during the confinement.

Domingos Esteves, general director of C&A for Spain and Portugal, highlighted: “We want to transform the applause into concrete and real stories. It is essential to recognize the people who dedicate all their energy to the common good and to support those who need it most . From the medical and nursing staff, police and security forces, merchants, social workers, caregivers, supermarket employees, transporters, farmers … and many neighbors and associations that helped overcome this crisis. It is for this reason that C&A wants to thank all those local heroes and celebrate their small gestures that have been transcendental and that fill us with optimism as a society ”.

The t-shirts will be on sale from July 9 in 35,000 brand stores throughout Europe (30 in Spain and Portugal) at a price of € 9.99. For each sale, the brand will donate € 5 to different local heroes that the brand has selected. The collection consists of three T-shirts made of sustainable cotton and the labels bear a QR code that gives access to a video about the project. In addition, the shirts will have their own corner in the stores in which a 'Wall of hope' will also be placed where messages can be left to these heroes.
