Week 1: Lay the groundwork (and review the tools)
Week 1: Lay the groundwork (and review the tools)
Is your hair dryer very slow and overheating? Have you had the same brushes for years? Does your iron not slide as it should? Time to invest in new tools and accessories. In addition to improving the final look, they take care of the structure of your hair, so it is worth betting on the latest, both in materials and technology.
- A new dryer. Ionic dryers dry 6 times faster than a conventional one and prevent damage from extreme heat.
- The air brushes. They speed up molding, because they help shape, while drying. And thanks to their coating, they reduce frizz and add shine.
- Eco brushes. Made from wheat fiber, they are 100% biodegradable, but with heat resistant spikes and bases.

Are you using the correct shampoo?
Are you using the correct shampoo?
A shampoo adapted to your hair is essential to keep hair loose, silky and healthy.
- Do you wash your hair daily? Choose an ultra-gentle formula with natural ingredients. Note that the packaging says "frequent use."
- Hair with excess oil. Exfoliate the scalp every 3 weeks and wash it with shampoos that include sebum-regulating active ingredients. You can also combine your greaseproof shampoo with a dry shampoo.
- Stop the fall. Stimulate hair growth with shampoos that contain active ingredients such as biotin, among others.
- Goodbye dandruff. It can appear at any time! Look for zinc pyrithione among its assets: it prevents and eliminates dandruff.
- Do you live in a city? Try sulfate-free anti-pollution shampoos. They eliminate the polluting residues that adhere to the hair and restore the lost shine, without damaging the hair structure.
Week 2: Focus on your goals
Week 2: Focus on your goals
What do you want to get?
- More volume. Bet on lines that add density (shampoo, conditioner and mask) or on 2-in-1 formulas, such as shampoo-conditioner.
- Boost shine. Rinse with plenty of water to remove possible remains that would leave the hair dull. Also, brush it daily and apply nourishing masks.
- Strengthens hair. The last thing so that it does not break is to reinforce it with natural assets such as bamboo. This manages to reduce breakage up to 90%.
- Repair thoroughly. Very damaged? Get an SOS treatment at the hair salon and reinforce it at home with serum and protein masks.
- Stops dryness. A dehydrated hair is more prone to breakage. Team up with aloe vera and shea butter and avoid very hot water and products with alcohol: they dry it out more.
- Hair and sport. If after exercising your hair is flat, "use a dry shampoo, it absorbs sweat and oil," recommends hairdresser Olga G. San Bartolomé.
- Pamper the color. Use a specific hair range for colored hair, hair protector from UVA-UVB rays, and keep it well hydrated.
- No orange undertones. So that dyed hair does not oxidize and acquire green or orange tones, you can resort to color correcting shampoos and conditioners, sold in hairdressers.

Essential! The hair mask

Week 3: take care of the finish
Week 3: take care of the finish
We cannot forget about the final phase in our hair program. So that the ends do not split and the hairstyle looks perfect for longer , sealing products are essential .
Olga G. San Bartolomé recommends us to seal the ends with finishing creams or in spray format. With this gesture it is possible to repair the most damaged areas, as well as to protect them from the environment and heat sources.
If you haven't included a thermal protector in your hair beauty routine yet, you should. Especially if you use the dryer or the iron day in and day out too. It is a product that acts as a shield against heat sources that, misused or if they are abused, end up damaging the hair fibers. In addition to protecting from heat, it helps to texture the hair, maintain the color –in case of colored hair– and prevent it from becoming dehydrated and dry.

Without silicones, your hair lives better
Without silicones, your hair lives better
Many masks, conditioners, and finishing products that you have used or are using contain silicones. They give shine temporarily, yes, but as our expert reminds us "they add a lot of weight and make hair dirty, the opposite of what we are looking for" . If you want a natural substitute, the so-called natural silicones have appeared on the market, obtained from ingredients such as tucuma butter. Look for this and other vegetable butters (shea, muru muru, mango) in your hair products and you will see how your hair, grateful, will always show you its best face.

Week 4: Check your pantry
Week 4: Check your pantry
- A poor diet affects the hair. Make sure your menu is balanced and your dishes do not lack the basic nutrients. For example, in the case of mild anemia, it is very possible that problems of flaking or hair loss appear.
- Increase the consumption of … Legumes, as they strengthen hair by containing proteins, iron, zinc and biotin. On the other hand, fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A, B, C and E also help protect the scalp and promote hair growth.
- Supplement with nutricosmetics. "They include minerals and vitamins that strengthen the hair, such as zinc, biotin, methionine and cystine," says Esther Sansi, a pharmacist, who assures that the effects would begin to be noticeable after 3 weeks.
